Free UK Delivery

All deliveries are tracked and insured, giving you confidence that your order will arrive safely. Our shipping & returns information explains how we handle delivery, postage options, and what to do if something goes wrong with your parcel.

We offer fast delivery and standard delivery for UK customers, with the available options shown clearly at checkout. If you are outside the UK and require a quicker delivery service, please contact us and we will do our best to help.

As part of our shipping & returns policy, UK postage is FREE for standard delivery, while fast delivery (up to 2 working days) costs a maximum of £7.99 or £9.99 depending on weight for as many items as you wish in a single parcel. We also offer a next working day guaranteed service. All postage costs are calculated automatically at checkout based on the weight of your order and your destination country, meaning the more items you add to your parcel, the more you save on postage. Shipping & returns.

Our UK shipping covers all areas with a UK postcode, including the Isle of Man, the Highlands, and Northern Ireland. We use one clear set of prices across the whole UK. Most parcels are sent using tracked Royal Mail or Parcelforce, and an automated email with tracking details will be sent when available. Orders are shipped from Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire, England. Shipping & returns.

Expected delivery dates are estimates provided by the courier. Within our shipping & returns terms, we cannot delay, pause, or store shipments, and all orders are dispatched within the stated handling time.

If your parcel has not arrived within 24 days, please contact us so we can make a claim with the courier. If delivery is attempted and the parcel is taken to a local depot, it is the customer’s responsibility to collect it or follow the tracking instructions. Returned parcels can be re-sent upon payment of postage or refunded minus delivery costs.

FAQs for UK shipping

When will I receive my item?

If you have selected "Standard Shipping - Approximately 5 working days" at checkout - This means your item will be with you within approximately one week to the UK. Hopefully it is quicker, this is just an estimate. Shipping & returns.

If you have selected "Up to 2 working days" then it should be with you next working day, or the day after at the latest. Please note that Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays are NOT working days.

If you have paid for standard shipping and now wish to upgrade, then please contact us.

Please order before 2pm if you would like a fast shipping item posting on the same day.

Note that tracked 24 is not a guaranteed service by Royal Mail/Parcelforce. We will post it in time but they do not guarantee delivery.

With regard to your order, you will receive automated emails from us during the progress of your order. The first email will have been an order acknowledgement saying we are preparing your item for postage and will let you know as soon as it is posted. The second email will say it has been dispatched and include tracking information so you will be able to see the progress of your parcel. If you haven't received an email from us to acknowledge the order, please check your spam folder. If you have not received an email, please message us.
Please let us know if you require any further information and we will be happy to help. Shipping & returns.

When will you post my item?

Please read the above FAQ first, but if you have selected "Standard Shipping - Approximately 5 working days" at checkout, we will post within approximately 3 working days.

If you have selected "Up to 2 working days" or "Guaranteed Next Working Day" we will post on the same working day, if you have placed the order before 2pm.

Can you remove the VAT so that I can reclaim it?

All used items and almost all other items, on the website, cannot have VAT "removed" under the margin scheme. Therefore you cannot reclaim it as input tax. Because VAT isn't charged separately on your purchase invoice, there is no VAT to claim back.

International Shipping, Duties & Taxes

At Action Slot Racing, we ship worldwide and aim to make international delivery as clear and straightforward as possible. Please read the information below carefully before placing your order.

United States (USA)

What we collect at checkout

  • Import duties/customs charges: ✔ Collected
  • Sales tax/state tax: ✘ Not collected

Orders shipped to the USA are sent using a partially prepaid service. Import duties are collected during checkout where applicable, helping reduce customs delays and unexpected import charges on delivery.

However, US state sales taxes are not collected by us and may still be payable separately depending on your local state regulations.

European Union (EU)

What we collect at checkout

  • Import VAT/Sales Tax: ✔ Collected
  • Import duties/customs charges: ✔ Collected

EU orders are generally shipped using a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) service. This means taxes and import duties are collected before dispatch so your parcel can clear customs more smoothly with fewer unexpected charges on arrival.

Rest of World

What we collect at checkout

  • Import VAT/Sales Tax: ✘ Not collected
  • Import duties/customs charges: ✘ Not collected

For countries outside the USA and EU, orders are normally shipped on a DDU/ DAP basis. This means any local import taxes, Import VAT, customs duties, clearance fees or handling charges are the responsibility of the customer once the parcel arrives in the destination country.

Please check your country’s import regulations before ordering.

What Does DDP Mean?

DDP stands for Delivered Duty Paid.

This means:

  • Duties and import taxes are collected before shipping
  • The courier pays customs charges on your behalf
  • Your parcel is less likely to be delayed by customs
  • You should not normally receive additional import invoices upon delivery

What Does DDU / DAP Mean?

DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid), now more commonly called DAP (Delivered At Place), means:

  • Duties and taxes are NOT collected at checkout
  • Your local customs authority may charge import fees
  • The courier may request payment before delivery
  • Customs delays are possible depending on local regulations

Important Information

  • Import regulations vary by country
  • Customs charges are set by your local government, not by Action Slot Racing
  • Refused parcels due to unpaid customs fees may incur return shipping and customs charges
  • Shipping times may be affected by customs processing

International FAQs

Why has my parcel been delayed?
International parcels can occasionally be delayed while clearing customs. This is outside our control.

Can you mark my parcel as a gift or lower the value?

One question that we are often asked: Can you send the package as friend or family or change the invoice to be lower than actual etc? We can't, sorry. To make this clear: we cannot alter the invoice in any way. The invoice is printed automatically for customs so whatever information you write in the order, is the information used on the invoice. If you need to amend any details, we can cancel the order and you can place the order again.

Will I have to pay customs charges?
This depends on your country. USA and EU orders generally have duties collected in advance. Most other international destinations may require payment upon import.

Why have I received a customs invoice?
If your order was shipped DDU/DAP, local taxes and import fees are payable by the recipient and are outside our control.

Are customs fees refundable?
No. Customs duties, import VAT and brokerage fees charged by your country are non-refundable. If you refuse custom's charges and the parcel is returned to us, any return shipping charges or customs fees incurred may be deducted from your refund.

Will customs delay my order?
Occasionally, yes. Customs inspections and processing times vary by country and are outside our control.

Who should I contact about customs charges?
Your local customs office or courier will be able to provide the most accurate information regarding import charges in your country.

Can you remove the UK VAT so that I can reclaim it?
All used items and almost all other items, on the website, cannot have UK VAT "removed" under the margin scheme. Therefore you cannot reclaim it as input tax. Because UK VAT isn't charged separately on your purchase invoice, there is no VAT to claim back.

Returns

To request a return, please click HERE to access your account.

Free returns or exchanges (UK only) up to 7 days after delivery.

We want you to be totally satisfied with every purchase you make from us. If you are not completely happy with your purchase, please contact us within 14 days of delivery. We offer a no quibble return policy within 14 days. We cannot extend this 14 day deadline under any circumstances, sorry.

If you would like to have an exchange, please include a note with the exact full title of the advert of the item you require.

We cannot accept part of a package as a return. For example, if we supply a pack of 12 curves, we cannot accept 3 curves back because they are unwanted. You must return all 12.

Only one free return per order. For example, if you order a car and a piece of track and return the car using the free returns, you cannot then use the free returns to return the track at a later date. You would be able to return the track and the car in the same return package though.

If you return an item, and pay for your own postage, we cannot refund that postage amount. Our free returns are based on us sending you a prepaid return label.

Once you have contacted us and arranged to return an item, it must be returned within 10 days. It cannot be returned after this time.

We cannot refund fast shipping charges with returns. If you return an item that you paid extra for fast shipping then we cannot refund the fast shipping charge because this has already been paid to the courier.

Vouchers are non-refundable.

Returning an item

The item must be unused, complete and with original packaging.

Used items - We reserve the right to reduce the amount of refund if the item(s) are not in saleable condition.

New items - We reserve the right to reduce the amount of refund if the item(s) are not in saleable condition, have been used or not in original packaging. Value of used items compared to new is generally a third but we will calculate the exact value. So, for example, if you return a £99 item that was new and is now opened or used, we would refund £33.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it.

Please include your order reference and reason for return.
We cannot accept items without return authorisation.

If an item is returned to us and it is an unauthorised return, or if it is not returned in the condition it was supplied, we may contact you and ask if you would like to pay to have it shipped to you or refunded at a proportion of its original value. We will report our findings to you and you can then decide whether to pay to ship the item(s) to you (£5 per parcel to UK)) or it can be disposed of. If you wish to pay extra for guaranteed post then we can quote for this if requested. If we receive no payment or decision, it will be stored for 7 days and then disposed of.

Please allow up to 5 working days from receipt for us to action returns and 14 working days during busy periods - November to January.

International customers (outside UK) pay return shipping costs.

International customers (outside UK) - If we have agreed there is a fault or error with your item(s), we may refund as a preference to sending a replacement.

If we do decide to pay for an international return, then we will ask you to obtain a shipping quote and we can only pay a similar cost to what it would cost us to post out to you.

If an item is returned broken (that was not broken in the description or mentioned in your return) then we reserve the right to return it to you without a refund.

Your statutory rights are not affected.
