DPR Cars (Digital Plug Ready)

DPR Cars (Digital Plug Ready) are Scalextric analogue slot cars designed to make upgrading to Scalextric Digital quick and straightforward. Instead of requiring permanent modifications or soldering, a DPR car features a dedicated socket inside the chassis that accepts a compatible digital chip, allowing the car to be converted for digital racing in just a few minutes.

For analogue users, a DPR car operates exactly like a standard slot car straight out of the box. If you decide to upgrade to a Scalextric Digital layout later, simply unplug the blanking plate and install a compatible Digital Plug, such as the C8515 Digital Plug. Once fitted, the car can be assigned a unique digital ID and used on Scalextric Digital circuits.

Digital racing adds a new level of excitement by allowing multiple cars to race on the same lane, with lane changing and overtaking at the press of a button on the hand controller.
