As a complete beginner, I felt very unsure about coming up with my own track design. There are so many considerations such as making the layout interesting yet competitive, and ensuring the same number of "inside" and "outside" bends to eliminate lane bias, so I emailed Phil at Action Slot Racing with the overall shape and dimensions of my ideal layout, as well as my preferred features i.e.. crossovers, hairpins, banked curves and bridges etc.
Phil emailed me a photo of my desired layout that he had actually built and tested for competitiveness, for me to merely fine tune and agree.
Having confirmed my ideal layout, Action Slot Cars then itemised, costed and sourced the required track, power supply & controllers, as well as accessories such as cars, lap-counter, run-offs & barriers etc and despatched to me via Royal Mail, with payment made simple using PayPal.
I cannot recommend highly enough!

The track is approx. 7.2 x 3.6 metres. We have a very good customer who has asked us to recreate the Dubai Autodrome for him in Scalextric as a static display piece to be mounted on the ceiling.

Hiya,
Just wanted to say thanks for the Scalextric. Bar one long straight I’ve managed to use all the track plus the small Calibre oval I already had. By luck it goes completely round my odd shaped large hall and close to each door threshold so is easily stepped over.

My cats absolutely love it and as hoped find the yellow corvette with the lights very attractive. Colin and Izzy are indoor cats so it’s good exercise, Colin in particular has been galloping round for ages. It’s also an easy and entertaining way for me to give the something different to do.
